BEC, Cat Position

Where should the cat be fitted?

I have an Aprilia Tuono engine going in an MK. Can a cat be fitted under the bonnet or should it be fitted before the silencer.

Some bike silencers have the cat in the silencer.

Also any suggestions on a company to make an exhaust system in the Bristol area?

I'm open to any suggestions, thanks

most people seem to! someone on here will probably lend you a cat and silencer for sva/iva as standard silencer will probably not pass noise test. then after test the nice loud exhaust can be put back on.people on here are very helpful

If you are bringing both exhausts together before they exit the engine bay then you'll struggle to fit a cat in the engine bay. Mine was part way up the pipe before the can (still is actually!)

Call MK in the morning they have silencers with internal cats that they hire. Barry

You will need a decent cat to get the Aprilia through emissions. Mine was a 200cpi sports cat and I struggled a bit. It had to be really, really hot and was still a bit touch & go
