R1 tickover?
Just a quick question....... what should a 2003, R1 tickover be?

I like to set any vehicle ticking over at about 900 to 1000 rpm

If it helps book value for gsxr1100 is 1200rpm I think...

98 R1 is 1000-1100. It idled very badly below this.

Cheers, i'll warm it up again tomorrow and check it.
Seemed a bit low today and the DigiDash wouldnt clear the OPA unless i kept the revs at 1100 - 1200rpm

Depends what you've got the OPA level set to?
Most bike engines have a very low oil pressure at idle when hot.
I'm talking <10psi.
For that reason mine is just over 1000rpm (I'm a lot happier seeing 10psi or so!)

that spooky i was adjusting my tick over today and upped it to suit the oil pressure
my zx is now running 1200rpm at tickover

for the 03 r1 its 1150
thats what mine is at.
