R1 main relay

I have blown the main cut off relay on my 5PW R1 again. Part number is 5PW 81950.
I assume I have a short circuit somewhere or do these fail regularly? This last relay only lasted a month(it was 2nd hand)
Can I use relays off any other models, as 5PW ones seem rarer than rocking horse poo!
