ZX9R emmisions

The cars about finished (except for replacing a cooked clutch) and I'm about to book the SVA.
What I would like to know is what people have had to do/use to acheive the required emmisions levels? And where I can find/buy/hire the require kit from?

Has anybody tried a 'home made' letter from their engine manufacturer to convince the examiner that the engine is a pre aug 1995 model so the emmisions test is easier?
I've put my effort in my photo archive and would apprechiate comments as to whether you think it will work.

I spoke to Kawasaki UK about a proof of age letter but they refused to send one without the frame number from the bike. I would just hope the SVA inspector doesn't know to much about ZX9R engines.
