Anymore advice, won't start!!!
Right, just spent all day trying to get the sodding car to work! Now have a new fuel pump on it and it is pumping fuel (by running a feed direct from
the battery!) but still will not run!
I have done the following today:
1. New fuel pump and it is flowing fuel ok.
2. Turns over but will not fire.
3. Removed spark plug and checked for spark - none showing!
As said before the car was running well on the trackday but then spluttered and died. The fuel pump was not working at all, even when connected
straight to the battery so assumed it was only the pump.
So, why am I not getting a spark? I thought it may be the large relay that runs both the starter and the fuel pump but then surely the starter would
not fire?
I thought about the stand switch and the neutral switch but I thought the starter would not operate if the conditions were not met, but it does?
Any help greatly appreciated as really want to get it going for the good weather!
Someone must have something else I can try, as the battery is now charging up again ready for the next onslaught.....

PS the wife had a dig about how crap the car is but then I told her if it was the TVR she wants we would be looking at a BIG bill!

Do you get power to the ignition system? Tried hotwiring, as for pump?
He's whittling on a piece of wood. I got a feeling that when he stops whittling, something's gonna happen. (OUATITW/Cheyenne)

I'm not familiar with the kill swicthes on the R1, but I do know that on my ZX12 the starter still runs but they kill the spark instead so may
be something there?
Also not sure but do they have a tilt switch on the R1?

Get power to the dials etc, will have to try hotwiring to see if that is the cause.
Bit confused as was running fine until it spluttered and died............

Maybe a little obvious but did you check the fuze?
