R1 CAMS
Hey ppl, jus wondering does any1 know how many horsies and R1 gets from a kent cam kit? Cheers

Hi, Mate,
Alot of the Superstock bike racers use the Kent cams. You get about 6-10 horses extra, but you dont just buy them and bolt them in. To get the best
results you need to fit them with vernier cam sprockets to optimise the cam timing. I rode an R1 fitted with a set of kent cams, ( plus alot of dyno
time etc to set the damn thing up ) and it went like a rocket. The only thing it the power was very peaky and not ideal for something like a car
engine. Stick to just jetting the carbs and maybe fitting an ignition advancer, but leave the cams alone.
