Anyone used Ferodo clutch plates in 2003 R1?
My clutch is slipping a bit - mostly when oil isn't fully up to temp - and when doing full throttle clutchless changes.
I'm hoping I've caught it soon enough to not need to replace the steels due to being cooked.
Anyway I've got a set of Ferodo frictions which a friend of a friend managed to get me at a discount.
Question is - are they any good?
This will be the first time I've changed the clutch on this - I know people recommend Yamaha friction plates as being the best.
Its got a Barnett clutch conversion if that makes any difference to people opinions!
I know a lot of people don't rate EBC frictions but not read much about Ferodo...
I've just changed the oil and using semi-synth Castrol GPS as recommended by Andy Bates.

Sorry for not being any help on the friction plates (I'm choosing ones right now, too) but be careful with that slip... my steels were
completely TOAST. Actually I had 2 friction plates smashed inside... meaning oil is quite contaminated with friction material...
(I DID abuse a lot, so not near any decent / hard use wear...)
Cheers,
Joao

i put in a barnett and new firctions on saturday. just one of by steels had 5-10 slightly burn marks on it (brown/blue splodges about 2 cm apart going
round the plate), all the rest looked fine.
Anyone able to describe what shagged steels look like?
