adjusting clutch travel - r1

I have a cable clutch which since fitting my barnett needs adjusting. keep getting in a pickle trying to adjust the free play.

right now the biting point is very very low down, and there is loads of free travel at the top of the pedal (very loose)

the only adjustment I can see is

arrow and dot. (i guess these need to be inline as best as possible using the splines on the lever)

the second is the clutch cable end which has two nuts which adjust how much cable is "sticking out" - any tips as to how to set this up for a nicer feel? Do i need to return more cable or less?

Tightening the cable (usually the adjuster closest to the clutch) will make the clutch release earlier in the pedal travel, loosening does the opposite.
