Air filter for 2003 R1
Hey guys,
I am running an '03 Yamaha R1 engine in my mini and I am unable to run the standard airbox as it will foul the bonnet. Eventually I will get a
custom airbox made but for now I am looking for a sausage type filter to use on the engine. Can anyone on here please recommend a suitable filter and
where I can get one from? I would appreciate the help and any details of what other people are running on their R1 engines.
Cheers
Ben

No I had a look at flipping the air box round but is just so little space to work with in a mini engine bay. I'm just trying to find out if
anyone can supply a sausage type filter and backing plate for the 03 R1 engine or even individual sock filters for the throttle bodies? I had a look
on the pipercross website, but they only seem to list the performance filter which is a direct replacement for the filter within the standard air box.

Or you can do a cut and shut on the standard one as I intend to do when I get around to it. (As long as you don't reduce the volume too
much).
I'd much rather chop that around a bit than my bonnet
