R1exup valve in exhaust

Hi all, I've just commited to bike power for my '77 Reliant Kitten and have bought a '99 R1 engine from Lurch on this forum.
My first question, (I've searched but can't find any info) is; does anybody use the exhaust valve in a car setup? I gather that most have the exup motor connected to avoid error codes but don't have it connected to a valve.
I may use standard downpipes and collector if I have space and thought the exup gave a better spread of torque?

A couple of pics of the car,

ive got a little box with some electical do-dads inside that removes the error codes when not using the exup, i dont think anyone actualy uses the valve in there exhaust system but some connect it and hide it, most after market systems on the bike or car do away with it

edit to add nice car looks cool

If it were me, id rewire it with Megasquirt, and do away with the exup valve and other bits you wont use on the car.

No point having it there if its not functional?

Keep the engine management simple, and use the bare minimum.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.

In fairness the exup motor weighs sod all and it's only making things unecessarily complicated with MS.

I have the intention of making the exup do something else in stead - maybe an adjustable spoiler that raises with the revs (as a joke/gimmick - not a functional thing!)
