Westfield make a single donor kit for the MX5.
There is a build diary with lots of pictures on the US website flyinmiata.com.
It is under the heading FM Westfield in the LH column.

Mal,

That's a great idea, but with me representing MK in the USA it would not be very ethical to send people to look at Westfields to get some ideas how things would fit in an MK.

But thanks anyway.....

Not unethical to look at some pictures and even get ideas – that’s done every day by millions of companies. The main problem is the Westie isn’t an MK, so seeing the Westie may only be marginally effective at answering the main questions about the suitability of the Mazda powerplant. The big questions are:
1) Will the Miata fit? (apparently)
2) Are there any years or engines that don’t fit?
3) Were there any modification that had to be done so that it would fit?
4) Nice to know how much extra room there was (would be an indicator as to whether multiple years/generations would fit without modification)
5) When someone used the Miata motor, which they did, what did the use for the rear suspension? (Miata IRS?, Sierra IRS, or other?)

HI Alan,

At least go check out Keith Tanner's build (Flyin' Miata). It's a locost, but it's interesting nonetheless.

It might help him a bit, but he’s really looking for some MK Indy specific data. The CMC chassis that Tanner used isn’t even made now, and he is more interested in fit issues that won’t be related to Keith’s cookbook.
