Is everyone using trailing arms at the rear for this type of set up?

Certainly looks a compact and easy to use set-up. I could see that fitting in any number of small hatch backs

Paul - looks a fantastic build, keep it up and keep us posted

nice comments lads but it has a problem i can not get rear rims under the archers and i will have to put grp 2 wide archers on the car and its a shame as i did not want to cut the shell up some more again but its a must so now got to sell wheels and tyres and get some more back to more body work

From the pictures it's differcult to tell how much the rear wheels stick out but it appears to be not very much. would a similiar wheel with a different offset and may be a touch of negative camber just be enough, maybe also squeeze the arch out carefully with a portapak as you have no inner arches it should move easly enough

One other thing looking at the trailing arms if the driveshafts allow it could you not also spacer the arms so they were more towards the engine

Cheers
David

hi dave the rear wheels stick out of the rear archers by 2 inch each side and the arms are in to the max mate close to my motor its fitted with 7x13 rears on 175 50 13 ao 48r yoko rubber and have been told its not as wide as it could do with i was told to fit 9 or 10 x13 rears to get grip so im not to sure what to do at the moment as big archers for imps are not so easy to get as say mini parts it would be nice if i could get some carbon fiber archers like you can for minis but there is none for imps
