rising revs/clutch drag?
Took the car out over the weekend, and every so often, not all the time, when changing down, the revs would not fall, if I dipped the clutch (they
would eventually drop, but it was as if I had not take pressure off the the throttle pedal.
This seems to happen at very light throttle (6k revs) - but it does not happen all the time.
I have oiled the clutch cable - to make sure it was releasing and there was no cable drag
Could it be clutch drag - I would have thought that the symptoms would have happened all the time?
Other options are:
throttle cable sticking?
Clutch plates warped?
Carbs issue? sticking or something?
Engine oil has gone off and needs replaced?(about 500 miles and one track day on this oil - 10/40 semi synth motobike oil)
As I cannot get the systom to happen all the time, it is difficult to diagnose if any individual change has solved it.
Has anyone come across this before, any pointers?

Try putting an extra return spring on your throttle cable.

Sounds exactly like a sticky throttle to me - lubricating all the pivots, cables and springs should help.
An extra or stiffer return spring wil help, but if somethings not lubricated and working properly to start with then it may just accelerate wearing of
the linkages etc.

You almost definatly need an extra spring over the bike set up.
Check whether you have a second spring fitted somewhere.
