Blade Emmisions Help!!!!
Hi there
Just had my Megablade (983) fail its MOT on emmisions as it was very rich.
Just before going down to the MOT the engine did not run well, with a misfire and some pops that eventually went away once warm, though the idle was
rough.
Does anyone have a carb balancer in the Oxfordshire / Birmigham area I could borrow????
Many thanks in advance, beer tokens waiting!
Cheers
Ian

I'd strongly recommend a balancer and some carbtunes... Does the job for me.

Have you screwed in and out the the idle jets adjuster?
My old blade was screw in all the way and out 1 3/4 from memory.

I have a Burton Power CARBURETTOR SYNCHROMETER you are welcome to borrow. It just does a single choke at a time but has been ok for balancing my
webbers. If you look it up on their website there is a picture.
I am in south brum (B301EH)

hey there,
I've got one of those balancers with pressure gauges. It isn't ideal, as 1 of the 4 gauges is broken, and the hoses are a bit old, so
develop cracks unexpectedly.
You are welcome to borrow if you want. I'm in Yarnton, so pretty close.
