SVA form, Blade max power revs?

Sending the SVA form off tomorrow, but can't find the max power revs. I know the standard engine is 126 BHP but at what revs???? can't see it in the Haynes manual.

I suppose the lower the better, for the noise test.

Also I know this is the wrong section but it is £150...yes?

If your engine is a 1995 - the engine develops 124bhp at 10,500 revs, develops 88.3 Nm of torque at 8,500 revs or you could click HERE if yours is not 1995 engine.

If you are referring to the noise levels for SVA, it is now tested at 75% of maximum revs. We stated the maximum revs as 10,500 so the test revs were 7875rpm - this was then tested on a noise meter 1m away, at which you have to achieve 98Db or lower We had to stuff some wirewool into the exhaust to reach this level and even then it was extremely close!

The first test is £150 subsequent tests are £30 ea.

The SVA limit is 101 Dba.

I stated 9000 revs and they didnt quible.

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

I put 10,000rpm on my ZX9r. During the test when he wasn't looking i stuck wire wool up the exhaust and it reached 101.1db which he said was good enough. He tested it with the bonnet off so I guess it would be a bit quieter with it on. It also made all the sound deadening I'd fitted to the underside of the bonnet a bit pointless.
