Rolling roads with turbo bike engine experience?

Anyone know of any? I'm talking about injection rather than carbs.

If I go for a standalone ECU its going to need a fair bit of rolling road time to setup so I'd rather go to somewhere with experience if possible.

I know PDQ have a good rep but there is no mention of turbo bike engines on there.

I know in principle it shouldn't be any different to a turbo car engine (except a lot more revs)

A quick chat with somewhere experienced could save me making bad decisions at the design stage as they will have an idea of what works well and what doesn't.

I've emailed a place near to me (www.lynxae.co.uk) who I know have some bike engine experience (not necessarily turbo'ed though) but I've not heard back yet.

I can recommend Big-CC Racing in Wokingham. They set up my GSXR1100 engine but have a huge amount of experience with turbo bike engines in drag bikes!

Not that I wish to get in the middle of something that you've said he's done and yourself, but the OP asked about a rolling road and not his welding abilities..........................................................................

Yep... they were heavily involved with the Potter Jedi that's currently wiping the floor with everything else on the sprint scene

i can only go from my own experience, i was looking to have some work done on my bike, from initally reading on here i went to visit mb customs.

My impression from visiting the premisis and talking with the "gentleman" was that i could not wait to get out the door fast enough.

so maybe this trader can be good, but also i think (like everyone) he can be bad too

Thanks for all the replies guys.

So let me clarify.

MB Customs doesn't have access to a car rolling road - so INDY BIRD - he built your engine etc but where did you get it mapped?

I assume then that Big CC does have their own rolling road for cars?

If this is correct (and from where I'm sat in Northampton) if I'm looking for a rolling road setup that makes Big CC the obvious choice as:

a) they have a rolling road for cars and
b) they are at least an hour closer to me

I'm probably not going to ask either of them to make me a plenum incidentally

imp paul dont feel good or bad about what was said and dont have a opionion on you as i dont know you. i just think people want advice on a question ie rolling road not welding as steve said no one has said he cant rolling road or is bad at it etc,

now the thread is kinda highjacked for this topic and not the question so sorry to all about that will not respond on this from here on,

good luck with the project hobbsy
