R1 Barnett clutch spring issue

Whilst helping a friend on his car last night, I noticed something a little peculiar with his R1 Barnett clutch installation. He has fitted all 6 of the longer black spring, but at the point of going tight, the springs start to sit slightly wonky.

I tried removing them all, and then re-installing them by gradually tightening each one at a time, but still they ended up slightly wonky. By wonkey, I mean they don't sit perfectly square to the face of the pressure plate.

Has anyone else experienced this Is it ok to run like this?

I didn't notice this with mine.

How old is the kit as I believe they have changed the race springs in some way over the years.

It could be old stock but never sat on the shelf maybe?

It's brand new and took a while to be delivered so I guess it was ordered from the manufacturer.

It's strange - the springs sit straight until tightened, and then they go wonky just as they start to tighten right up.

I only fitted mine a few months ago and I don't recall that happening
