I believe a 10W-40W synthetic motorbike oil is recommended for all the Fireblade engines.

Part synthetic is best. I use Castrol Power 1 GPS 4T 10W-40 Part Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. I slightly overfill so that the oil is just at the top mark of the sight glass when running!

I buy it here which is EXCEPTIONAL value!

There shouldn't be any oil visible in the sight glass when the engine is running :-/

Its common in a BEC application to slightly overfill the oil and its been fine in my 919 race car for 4 years doing just that!

Half way (I have it a bit more than this!) up the window is fine when running!
