Just about decided

Hi all, well I've just about decided to go down the BEC route, probably R1.

Just a couple of questions, whats the approx cost of getting an R1 engine in a kit car. I now that I will need a reverse to get through the IVA, but what else do I need?

What tax bracket does a BEC come under and how easy is a BEC to get through the IVA?

Cheers in advance,
Neil

Assuming it's an injection engine... PowerCommander to get the emmisions right plus a big enough cat' (bike can cat's aren't big enough for car limits), big enough silencer for the sound limit, TRT prop makes it smother, paddle shift if your going that way, R1 clocks help with dignostics.

BECs like all kits are taxed on cc so you're looking at a massive £135 per year!

Use the search Luke, use the search

The questions you have asked have too many variables.

Do some searching/reading and not only will you answer your own questions, you'll learn a lot too.
