Any guesses what TH/V is?

On my R1 5VY loom, there is a wire labelled "TH/V" . Anyone care to guess what that stands for? I made a note of all the connections as I took the duff motor out, and this wire is spare!!

Also, there is a wire from the bottom of the sump, a foot long or so, is that the oil temp sender? Or what is it? (last engine didn't have one as it was dry sumped).

Cheers all!

Ed

The car is an ex-RGB racer, and had a custom loom made for it. The other end of the wire could be anywhere, consider it un-traceable as it dissappears into ever thicker trunks of wire!

Also, accordind to my Haynes, the other wire from the sump is oil level sender, so I guess I'll ignore it.

2005/6 ish?
Throttle position sensor is connected.
I cannot see anywhere to connect it! I'll give builders a ring tomorrow and see if they know.
Cheers all.

Good question!
They are red with browny yellow, and red with white.
However, they come from the loom so they could be redundant.
They are on the same spur as the map and the injector wires.
And the builder was away so question still out there!
Cheers

possibly the ais valve?

It's not required and there's a good chance you haven't even got it.

Judging on your description and the location of the wires.

RESULT!

Chris, you were right. I fished out a 5VY AIS and the plug on it mated with the plug on the TH/V lead of the loom perfectly. As all the other connections were the correct plugs, it is safe to say the female plug was intended for the AIS!
So all is well! I will sleep a bit better tonight.
Nice one.
