What car are you fitting the airfilter into?
I have made a number of Hayabusa airboxes using the original item and modifying it with good success. My car also has a pressurised connection to the
bonnet so is very much like it was designed to be on the motorcycle. The complete lack of induction noise is also very welcome, unlike the barking
from a Pipercross type filter.
I can supply you with a modified airbox if you are interested.

If it can't be fixed with a hammer then its probably an electrical problem.

Hi Cosmick,
Ive got a busa in an MK with standard bubble. Can you send a pic of the airbox you make along with costs. Also what are the performance increases like
if any?
Thanks
Monkey

Monkeyracer,
All the photos you would be interested in are in my photo archive. check out the top folder as well. Have you got a pipercross type filter currently?
If so, the clearance is about the same as this with my modified airbox. If you give me an email address, I can send some better quality photos. As for
performance increase, you can expect to do less to the fuelling due to the filter working more like it was designed for. My standing start 1/4 mile
times are in the low 12 second area which speaks for itself.
