R1 and gearing

Hi

I don't have to hand any info regarding the later R1 injected engine.
Supposing you had 205/50/15 tyres what Diff ratio is required to get 135 MPH in top gear. ?
Or does anyone have accurate info on the gear ratios etc.

Cheers Matt

According to the data I just dug around for on the internet, a 2008 R1 with a 3.54 and 205/50/15s will hit 136.16mph at the 13750 rev limit.

What are you up to anyway?

There's a spread sheet in the sticky at the top of the section. Does depend on the year of R1 and the later ones aren't on the list. My 06 with Freelander 3.21:1 tops out just shy of 150mph so it'd probably be a 3.38 you'd want.

Ive got an 06 R1 with a sierra 3.38 diff, and 205x50 R15 rear wheels. i think it worked out about 140ish MPH at the limiter. In 6th gear it is doing 6800rpm at 70MPH
