08 R1 Power Commander problems

Hi All

Wondered if anyone can help I've installed an 08 R1(fly by wire version) in the Indy over the winter and running a power commander III USB

The problem I'm getting is that its interrupting the signal to the TPS (throttle position sensor) slightly .

The power commander connects to the wire from the ECU that goes to one of the TPS.

When the engine gets hot and I come of the throttle the engine wont idle when the revs drop its ok when cold, Its ok when I disconnect the power commanded

Got it booked in at Northampton Motorsport on the 16th for a full mapping on the rolling road

I'm asking if anyones had this sort of problem as well if so how did u sort it before getting it on the Rolling Road

Kev..........

If i was you, id ring dynojet who make the power commander, or ring one of the rolling road companies that are dynojet specialists such as damian at daytuner. If no luck ring Andy Bates, he's installed lots of power commanders and has come across most BEC issues.

Ive had a quick chat to Andy on the phone thats why its going to Northampton Motosport

But was hopeing i could get this little problem sorted before it gets there

Was wondering if the take of point close to the ECU might be the problem and moveing it close to the TPS would help

thats one of the ideas i got but dont want to mess around to much with it so asking if anyones had simler probs

Mine used to cut out when coming off the throttle, was running way too rich around idle, i assume it was dumping in too much fuel when trying to pick up the throttle for tickover. Trimmed a load of fuel out (using a wideband sensor) and it behaved itself then. It was wired in close to the ecu too.

Thanks man. Maybe I should get it booked back in to a different power commander installer. I would have hoped that these points would have be accounted for as it was daytuner that first informed me of my problem after it had been mapped on there rolling road after they had installed it. So maybe it could be a small adjustment rwquired with the commander installation.
