2008 R1, how to mount Filter/backplate

im looking to fit either a ITG or pipercross sausage filter to my 2008 R1.

but i can't see how im going to make a baseplate, as the servo motor and fuel rail will both get in the way.


so how have others got around this? is it possible to use part of the original airbox?


this is what the 2008 TB's look like:





so anyone any ideas?

on my 2006 R1 i mounted my filter base plate on top of the trumpets which you currently have missing. this raised it above the fuel rail. The 2006 doesnt have the servo like on your 2008. Other than that the design looks the same
