Engine Excitement

My engine build is complete

Suzuki Bandit 1200 bottom end with all new bearings etc
GSXR1100 Lock-nut type head ported and gasflowed by Roger Upperton
Reprofiled cams
Weisco 12:1 pistons (out to 1216cc)
New 2nd and 5th gears
GSXR1100 big clutch with new suzuki plates
40mm Mikuni CV carbs.

Should give a reliable 140-150bhp at the wheels, but with a nice torque spread (where bike engined hillclimb cars can lose out). Picking it up from Big CC this week, fitting it over christmas and going back for rolling roading in the new year

Sound like quite a piece of work.

You're going to have to post a startup vid when the time comes

What kind of wheel torque figures are you hoping for?

BigCC built the turbo engine i have in my kit car, they definitely know their stuff!

Hoping for about 80lbft from 5k through to 10k but I'm not too sure what you mean by 'torque at the wheels'. Thats not something that's normally quoted as is depends on gearing.

I have the engine in my garage ready to be fitted now Going to knock up a new cradle after christmas that eases access around the engine.

You mentioned power at the wheels in your first post so I thought you would have an expected torque at the wheels figure to go along with the quoted power at the wheels figure, they would both be measured at the same time on the same dyno plot/graph.

Sounds like an interesting engine, keep the updates coming
