07 R1 Clocks - what functions?
Can anyone give me a quick summary of what the standard R1 clocks do? I'm debating whether I need an aftermarket dash or if I can get away with
a gear indicator.

They look very much like the 04-06 clocks except for a different face on the rpm gauge. The 06 clocks have:
Air intake Temp
Water Temp
Speed
Revs
2x trip odometers
Main Odometer
Shift light
Low fuel light
L + R Indicator
Main beam

Cheers.
No oil pressure?
That's a shame.

Mines the 06 but think the functions are the same.
Yep, no oil presure, just an (unreliable) low level light.
The low fuel light also starts a milage trip giving how many miles you've done since it came on. It'd be really usefull if I could make it
work without the original pump unit
The shift light is programable for both on and off points.
The biggest reason for using it though is it does run all the fault codes through the dash along with diagnostic tests, so you can read all sensor
in-puts as well as activate all out-puts (so test fire individual plugs or injectors for instance).
I just practiced counting up and down from 1-6 rather than bother with a gear indicator.

No oil pressure no.
The sensor in the sump is oil level, for which there is a low lew light on the dash, but it's not much use in a BEC as you'll want to
overfill anyway.
You can fit a seperate oil pressure sensor in the blank on the side of the engine or drill and tap the oil cooler bolt.

Hmmm. Probably better off with an integrated ETB.
Shame.
