Live-Axled BECs
I was wondering which axles people with live-axled BECs were running? Is it generally the Ford English axle from Escort MkII/RS2000?
Is this axle generally deemed safe for R1 levels of power? I have seen them used with more powerful car engined Sevens, so I guess they will be fine
when you factor in the lower weight of the BEC etc...

Most (like mine) are the English axle yep. They seem to be able to handle the power OK, if necessary you can strengthen them up with bracing along the
casing and also strengthened half shafts from Quaife etc, but for less than 180-200bhp you probably dont need it.
