Twin 40 weber throttle kits

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference is from running a single weber throttle cable than the two? i have two on mie just now but i need to buy a bottom mounted one as mine is top mounted and the hood wont close!

Aftermarket setups :-) Where they don't have or bother to buy/supply the Weber carb connector with adjusters . 2 cables are the cheap ass solution that still allows easy individual carb adjustment /synchronisation when there is no proper Weber linkage

The dual-cable setups killieaitken is talking about have two cables that pull the same lever, so no cheap ass solution.
I guess its to have some redundancy if one cable snaps?

just a little advice, check the clearance between the two inner manifold branches, as the bottom pull linkage goes up into this area.
if it has a bit of metal joining the two inner manifold branches you may have to grind some away.
