Part year cover
I know you can have laid up cover and on road cover insurance wise but is it possible to have a combination of the two?
I only run my 7 for 6 months of the year with the other 6 months on sorn whilst I tinker on it over the winter so it seems over the top to have on
road cover during this hibernation period.
Ultimately this is about reducing my ownership costs.

i asked about this with my cosworth and the answer i got was the only real way was to insure it then cancel after 6 months and take out lay up cover.
by the time you take cancelation fees into account it didn't work out worth doing.
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

My fully comp insurance on my 7 is £99 a year
I do not even think i can get it any cheaper, with out reduceing my 3k mileage to zero !
If your insurance is considrably more, you are probably with the wrong broker,
Have you tried Frank Pickles insurance (im with them)

Not many policies will provide a combination of the cover you have requested. If they do I don't think it will be much cheaper than insuring the
vehicle for the full year.
