Quaife Reverse Box Advice.

Hi guys.

I am in need of a bit of advice regarding my quaife reverse box.
It seems to be awfully oily on top of the box so I assume it is leaking either out of the filler cap or breather. Is this common and if so what can I do about it?
Also how do I check the oil, what oil should I use and does anyone have a link to an owners manual for it?

Dan.

If its from the breather, how about a hose up to a catch tank and then it'll gravity flow back into the box?

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

That's what I did.
There's a level plug on the side which is also the fill hole.
It doesn't hold much !
If you look on the Quaiffe website it will tell you the recommended oil.
It's Silkolene if I remember right, but can't remember the grade.
You'll get a schematics diagram off the Quaiffe site as well.

If I connect a hose to the end of the breather and it sends oil up the hose to the catch can will it flow back into the box through the breather, or is the breather a one way valve?

I can't seem to find any schematics or user manuals on the Quaife website. Do they have a seperate website for their technical downloads?

I have the Quaife schematics diagram for my reverse box but it doesn't mention the oil type.

I found the following on the Quaife site but it doesn't mention the reverse box specifically. Gearbox Oil

Stick a line in the piston heads radical thread. It's a silkolene oil I cannot recall which one.

Just been out to the garage to check.

It's Silkolene Silktran Syn 5

I've got the schematic somewhere on my PC if anyone needs it.
