Dash electrics & iva

Hi, when I purchased my Mk the electrics were a mess. I've now chopped out all the excess cables a re taped all the wires and made it as tidy as possible

Does the iva tester look at these cables and if so would mine be ok?

Thanks

Nick

That is not really "as tidy as possible". Just for tidyness sake I would wrap all the exposed wires in the correct Self amalgamating tape. Straighten out the un required birds nest and zip tie neatly out of the way.

The tester won't necceserily fail you on bad wiring but if he sees that he may start looking harder at the rest of the build. At the end of the day he is looking too see if the car is built to similar standards as something from VW/ford etc. Look at how they do things and copy :-)

Interesting use of a Wago Box :-) Have you used Wago terminals as well?

I'm surprised more people aren't using them!
