Stuart Taylor BEC Gearshift

Does anyone have any piccies of the Stuart Taylor gearshift mechanism for BECs (if such a standard item exists)? As in the tunnel-mounted stick which operates the gear selector using, I presume, rose-jointed rods.

I'm having him fabricate me an engine cradle and I may ask him to put the shift in there too.

I will be using a Kliktronic too, so I'd need to be able to add to the bracket which sits on the splines of the gear selector. Does anyone else have this setup - ie. mechanical + electronic shifting?

The mechanism on my car is mounted on the end of the tunnel and not on the cradle. I do not have any pictures around but in simple terms.. push the gearlever, which pivots and pulls a rod, which pulls a lever which turns a shaft, this drops down to a lever which pushes a rod which pushes the selector
I would prefer my gear selection to be the other way around so i pull to upshift rather than push as is the case now.

There was pictures of this arrangement sometime ago on the ST racecar build site.

I have the ST manual and klicktronic gear shift as you describe.
The manual one does sit on the corner of the tunnel on the drivers side, and the klicktronic system is mounted transversely just in front of the brake cylinders directly onto the gear selector.

What photo's do you want ?

Personally, now having lived with the setup for over 12000 miles I would use the manual paddle shift system from ST and use an ignition interupt system for the up changes so as to allow full throttle up changes.

Brooky - if you have any photos of the actual gear lever on the tunnel and the gear selector bracket (ie. where the Kliktronic and manual gearlinkage meet the gearbox, that would be great.
