radiator fan switch

hi all
looking for some help with regards to my stylus which has a fireblade 893 engine I have just replaced the radiator and fan as it was in need of a new one .the problem I now have is the fan will not kick in once engine is up to temp. the only difference is that the fan switch is no long in the rad. Should I put it in the top hose or the bottom . any diagrams would be of help. all parts are new including the fan switch

regards ian

Put it in the top hose but you probably find it cuts too early as this is the hottest part of the system, the work around. Is to use a switch that cuts in and out at a slightly higher temperature than the previous switch.
