Fireblade jammed in third after a shunt

I managed to tap a concrete helipad when sprinting my little car earlier this month, dented the front tube, easy to chop out and fix, however the car ended up being stuck in the gear, third I think.

Today I dropped the sump for a looksee, the shaft that turns from the outside was pushed forward so out of mesh with the selector drum, in the end an easy fix just pull back into mesh.

I have now looked in the manual, there is a circlip that stops it pulling out, nothing to prevent it from going in that I can see, I suspect that it's a way of protecting the box if you drop the bike, does anyone know about this?

Anyway, if it goes wrong again I will just work the shaft out from the outside, just glad I dropped the sump before pulling the engine, I now have six gears again, a nice easy fix thankfully

Good to hear it was a simple fix Mark.

Is that it for sprinting this year or have you got more to come? I think I'm going to try and get another trackday in this year before doing a few winter jobs.
