Once you crack around 175bhp on a 919 blade you will need a lockup clutch, I tried bigger stronger prongs, OEM plates etc to no avail, now injected
and blown
Barnett HD springs held 181bhp in my zx9, I asked other zx9 turbo guys what the strongest springs avaliable are and I believe I got some r1 brocks
performance springs, holds 225bhp no problems so far. Lockup clutches on the zx9 don't really seem to work that well
The clutch point is interesting for me. I have inherrited a lockup clutch which I don't like very much. I also have a big bag of bespoke
springs to have a try with!
What happens on the ZX9 lockup clutches are that the clutch puller snaps, my thought was to just go with the strongest springs I could find since
clutch pedal effort when in a car is so easy anyway, clutch feel isn't affected
