Sensor itself is on the side of gearbox, near your brake master cylinder.
Pretty close together will be neutral switch which has one wire going to it, and speed sensor which has three wires.

Find the sensor and the plug is a few inches from it, could be anywhere in a kit car depending where builder has run loom.

If you locate the sensor the plug is only a few inches back up the wiring

Description
Description

top switch with one wire is neutral switch, lower one is speed sensor and triangular wiring plug is speed sensor plug.
not 100% sure 5vy will be identical to my 5jj but won't be much different.

Other side of what?
Its got to be in gearbox, think your looking at wrong sensor if only got two wires.

Don't think you've read what I said correctly, I said neutral indicator has one wire, speed sensor has three.
