recent purchase, cbr1000rr avon
hello, I am new to the site, and have recently purchased my tiger avon cbr 1000. which I am very impressed with, and will be mainly used for
trackdays, and sprint season next year.
I was mainly wondering if anyone knows the car at all, as it's history when I bought it was limited.

Lovely looking car fairplay.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Yeah I'm really happy with it, just need to get rid, of the 15" wheels, and the heavy seats, and she should be ready for some quick lap
times. I just wish I new a little more of the history. 😕

I'm in york. I'm just going through the process of signing up with auto66.
could just do with getting a couple of track days in before I start. I'm suprise at how cheap slicks are for 13's, you can buy a used set
for under £100. I'm just hoping the overall diameter don't change too much, as it's geared really low as it is.

Auto 66 are not the greatest. The events at Oliver's mount they run are utter chaos!
Join longton and district or Liverpool mc and enter their championship. They both run at Oliver's mount and the organisers are great.theres a
few from York way that compete

And we're testing at Blyton park sometime early February if you want an open circuit to learn the car.pm me if you fancy it

Make sure that the cage you have fitted meets MSA regs for the 2016 season and, when you put 13" rims on, make sure the tyres are in List 1B in
the bluebook, assuming you are intending to enter roadgoing.

Changing to 13" rims is a nightmare. New uprights at the back and new wishbones at the bottom making. Some people have had them work with just
trimming the uprights and grinding away some of the wishbone on the lower at the rear though. Not many have done it for this reason.
Car looks good I did see it on sale a bit back.

Oh I didn't realise there was any work in changing the wheel size. still think it's worth having it done though in the near future.
I'll certainly check the cage is up to spec. I'm just waiting till January to apply for my liscence, I should receive the blue book on
completion. like I say I am new to all this, so the help is much appreciated.
