Mk2 Escort / Cortina hub interchangeability?

Does anyone know the differences between the hubs on a Mk2 Escort and a Cortina? My car uses Cortina uprights / hubs but ive been offered some alloy hubs from a Mk2 Escort which I'll have if they fit. I cant find anything from hunting on the net other than on one site which were selling the hubs as two diferent items (which makes me think they are different but looking at them they look identical).
If they are different, does anyone know what the differences are - bearings perhaps?

cheers

Chris

The stub-axles are different lengths which means that the hubs are different lengths.

That's why when you have GP1 vented discs on a cortina they are so close to the upright

Yes they are different in length (stub axle) and the diameter of the stub axle is bigger on the Cortina and they use different bearings as well.
