Prop alignment

Hi everyone, just a quick question about bec props, has everyone managed to get their engines prop sprocket lined up perfectly with the centre of the car? Or are people running off centre? I probably could get it but it's very tight and comprising exhaust manifold space between the engine and chassis every time I move it over, it's not a locost by the way, it's a reliant kitten.

My engine loosely follows the top chassis rail, the prop is at all sorts of angles smoothed out with the centre bearing and it's been fine.

props don't have to run laterally along the chassis/car, however, the flange faces need to be parallel. (but not necessarily axial)
ie engine and/or diff can be offset, left and right. and above/below.

ps there are some others with kittens on here,

As per Mark my engine is angled and all seems fine despite not being theoretically correct.

Look at the prop angles on the front axle of a classic Range Rover, the nose points up at maybe 15 degrees to the transfer box to make sure the slider does not pull out on droop
