More powerful direct fit replacement for 919 blade engine?
Do the more powerful blade engines share the same engine mounting locations? Any others that would be a direct fit?

Another 919 blade with a turbo or rotrex fitted to it? Definitely the former has been done and probably the latter.

I had the 929cc rry fireblade fitted in my Indy, the first of the fuel injected blade engines, the mountings are different to the 919cc, so not a
straight swap.

Nope.
I had a lot of parts to rotrex mine, turns out it's not so easy to do! or cheap! I got the full charger kit for £350 and it was still going to
be expensive.
Best bet is a newer, better engine.
But then you'll need,
Engine, engine mounts, ecu, loom, tuning, exhaust, maybe prop shaft alterations, cooling pipes etc
So also works out expensive.
I came to the conclusion that I'd be better off stripping as much weight as possible and improving my driving and get the car set up right.
So far it has been successful and I can keep up/overtake most things on track.

Car is a fury and already weighs circa 470kg, theres nothing else to get rid of ha. Not much comes past us tbh this side of a radical/atoms etc thus
we thought we could drop in soemthng else (if it was a straight swap) to get another 30 odd bhp. Not bothered enough (yet) to start making new engine
mounts so we will just enjoy it as it is I think for now

My 919 fury had rear disc conversion and weighed 425kg. So there might be scope to looses some weight. Has it been re jetted etc, makes the torque
curve a little broader.

That's interesting because our car is willwoods front and hi spec rears on a live axle, supposedly the lightest setup? Maybe it's less
than we thought or that's a full wet weight 🤔
Erm in a word no we haven't personally done it but it drives well.. Probably should get it on a dyno really. I don't suppose you know what
size jets you ended up with? I have noticed sometimes on track that with a lot of overrun and then back on the throttle it can seem slightly hesitant,
not lumpy but just slightly held back for a second

In a word, no. Making a new subframe for a more modern engine is going to be the easy part compared to plumbing in fuel injection, new exhaust, new
cooling pipe runs etc.

I'll check at some point this week. I have the remaining needles and jets in the pack. A quick call to AB would get a quicker and more
informative answer. Ill have a look though 👍
