One UJ
Looking at my middy BEC design and I realised I only have space for one UJ.
Is this going to be an issue?

I may be wrong but I think that the physics of it dictates that you need a pair to keep the input and output velocity constant?

reman would be technically right, but if the shafts were very nearly aligned the 'outness' would be minimal. Maybe use a rubber cush or
donut instead?

I am only talking the length of one UJ for the whole shaft. The output on the bike engine matches the gear box end of the UJ!!

Hmm, I think that Joels idea of a rubber (infinitely flexible in 3D) may be the way to go, however small , my theory would cause either some speed
variation (tiny though it would be) or a tendancy for the joint to move in and out , i think Now its hurting!
