I paid £40 for a 3.62 LSD yesterday. Plus £10 to take it out for me.

Firstly, check that it is indeed a LSD.
Rotate one of the lobro diff flanges and the opposite one should turn in the same direction.
If its an open diff, then it will turn in the opposite direction.
Check the tag on the rear casing to see what ratio diff it is (usually 3.62 or 3.92)
The 3.62 is the more desirable of the two. If your very lucky it may be as low as 3.14! (If it is make sure you buy your lottery numbers that week 'cos you sure as hell will win that as well!)
After that, its a case of checking general condition i.e are the cv boots split? are the callipers seized etc.
I paid £50 for my LSD set up which is very cheap! but then spent a further £180 refurbing it such as recon. callipers, new wheel bearings and grease seals, new boots etc.

I'd say about £100 - £150 is the going rate for a second hand one.

Andy.
