Clutch diode and Nuetral

Just wondering where people are generally taking the feed for the nuetral light from, I guess it would normally come from the nuetral switch on the engine but could it also come from the clutch diode if you have it in the circuit??

thanks,
Rich.

I may have my wires crossed (so to speak) but how would the clutch diode know it was in neutral, surely it would just tell you if the clutch was engaged or disengaged?
