Im fitting a GSXR1100 engine, which is virtually the same. Cons: overheat quickly, clutch slave cylinder infront of output shaft (can be fixed with a
quick call to Z-Cars). Pros: Lightweight and simple (no radiator/water etc.), torquey (long stroke), cheap, VERY strong and reliable, very tunable.
If you want anymore info then ask

thanks for that adam, will you have to mod the sump (baffle. dry sump etc)?
as far as the overheating goes, i thought about a large oil cooler, piped in through a stat, and a couple of big electric fans (one blowing, one
sucking oo err missus) to get a good airflow over the engine especially at standstill.
When you say cheap, how much do you reckon for a decent one?

I have a mahooooooosive mocal oil cooler, and a 12" fan, which should be enough for hillclimb runs.
I sent my sump off to Z-cars to be baffled, but they sent it back. Apparantly these engines are very sensitive to how much and the temp of the oil.
A decent one might be around £500, but im not completely sure. They will be alot cheaper than the superbike engines though. I seem to remember someone
fitted a bandit 1200 engine in a Striker a while back aswell, so it can be done!!
