bike brakes on locost?

has anyyone tried bike brakes on the front? i did see somewhere on the net somebody making lightweight fabricated hubs with bike discs n calipers! worth a thought big brakes n six pots......

would of thought the amount of wieght they have to stop would mean they would be on longer than on a bike and run hotter = lots of warped disks

thats what i was wondering about? wonder if its possible to make a spacer to run bike calipers on standard car solid discs

From what Ive read, I believe that the problem with most bike calipers is that they are radially mounted and usually have their hose connection on the outer face of the caliper rather than the side. This means that its very difficult if not impossible to run them inside a conventional sized wheel, although they would be OK for inboard rear brakes I guess.

Quite a few people have tried them on the rear of rally cars, the main problem seems to be that they do not like the higher pressures generated and suffer from flex.
