MK engineering electric reverse mechanism

Hi All,
Has anyone fitted the MK engineering electric reverse mechanism to one of their chassis'? I can find a few different ways of mounting it but just wondered if anyone had been succesful, MK do not have a specific way, but suggest mounting it however you like, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was looking at a racing West#ield tother day which used MK's setup for reverse,it was mounted in the tranny tunnel with a machined gear fitted between the two prop halves close to the centre bearing, the motor was mounted on a sliding mechanism and was engaged by pulling a lever on top of the tunnel.
If your car is IRS then i think the idea is to clamp a split centre gear round one of the halfshaft joints at the diff end. The bloke with the westie said it was reasonably powerful and would reverse over a piece of 4" x 2" timber.

Hope this helps

Al

There will be an MK Recommended way soon - They are building my car with one on - I'll let you know where they put it.
(or locodude could tell you where he's about to put it and save some time!)

Cheers
