Sad day for British comedy.
Ronnie Barker has died.

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I don't think he was ever in a show that wasn't top class. His ability as a wordsmith is without comparison.

Sad day.
Here is the most memorable "and now here is the news" from the two ronnies
A vicar was in court today for riding his bicycle down the wrong way of the M1 motorway.
When the judge asked him "why wasn't you killed?"
He replied "god was with me"
And was further charged for riding two on a bike.
I can hear him saying it in my head now.... he will be sadly missed.

A sad reminder of our own mortality.
Like some others (Morcombe and Wise, Tommy Cooper, Eric Sykes, etc) it seems like they have always been on TV and have entertained and educated me
whilst growing up.
Was a truely great talent and will be greatly missed.
