mounting centre prop bearing

something I hadn't taken into account for the conversion from pinto to R1 was the centre bearing mount. need some advice or pics (a picture paints a thousand words etc) am I better off mounting it as per the MK method or has anyone come up with a way that does away with the need for spacers on the plate.
Many thanks
tony
