What exhaust for blackbird BEC?
Ok proberbly been asked before
But what is the best can to use on blackbird engine.
is the R1 can suitable or zx10/zx12, also want to get on a track so cannot be too load, without loosing performance,
I have a gsxr 750 can on at the moment,
which came with the car so not sure is wright for it anyway, so need to change,
your wise words would be grateful.
Cheers

R1 can would be OK, they are reasonably quiet and cheap on ebay, but unless you've got an airbox to reduce induction you will likely still
struggle at the NIMBY circuits (Donington, Goodwood etc). The R1 can is baffled so not as freeflowing as some, but people still get good RR results
with them so they cant be too restrictive.

Thanks Chris.
I am running the standard air box and will put in a K&N filter,
The foam filters create too much induction noise and are great for the road but i would have to re tune each time i changed these over i guess,
so best option stick with the box.????
And a R1 can????

If you're running the airbox already I would certainly stick with it yep. An R1 can is a cheap solution so worth a try, it won't be as
good as a whacking great repackable 7" can and it wont be as free flowing as a straight through bike can, but its a good compromise for the
money IMHO.

As promised, here's a few pics of my modded R1 carbon can.
R1 Silencer 2
R1 Silencer 1
R1 Silencer 3
BTW, its at a weird angle on the car as its not currently mounted properly! The ally patch on the top is where it has a small hole in it which I found
when I took the original R1 mounting strap off.

Thanks Chris this helps alot.
Question for anyone in the
ESSEX/SUFFOLK border area.
Do you know anyone who could help me do these modifications as me and welding are like oil and water.
Either a manufacturer or someone with more talent than me,
Willing to pay of course.
Cheers
