fitting Db Killer

Where would be the best position for a Db killer.
Photo 1 involves heating it up and putting a slight bent in it Rescued attachment P4280010.JPG

I fitted mine totaly the other way around, and put it in the straight section of pipe, just in from the collector. This is probabley totaly wrong, as I am sure somebody will tell me, but it works and my DB's are now around the 90 mark. atb Chippy

How about shortening it enough to fit in the tailpipe bend? It might not be quite so effective but at least it saves hacking your can to bits

Assuming you're only putting it in for SVA purposes and will bin it straight after, just put it wherever it's easiest to get back out again

I really wouldnt consider one as a permanent fixture, if you ignore the perforated tube part and just look at the end of it where it flares out, it effectively reduces the outlet to approx half the diameter which is probably smaller diameter than one of the primaries! Half the outlet diameter means about 1/4 the area for gasses to escape, this cant help but strangle the engine performance significantly, IMHO the only real solution is a big fat silencer.

finaly settled for removing the pop rivets and putting it inside the perforated tube in the silencer with a couple of tack welds.
lost that lovely crisp raspy sound of a bike engine now it's a deep growl, hadn't thought of that point chris if it's too restricted at Aintree off it comes
thanks for the input guys
